San Diego Neighborhood Markets

BEST NEW MARKET, 2010?                      JULIA'S MARKET   Map                     Oak Park-Emerald Hills-Webster neighborhoods

Our San Diego community is helping to rebirth the concept of "Neighborhood Markets", as our inner city is suffering from Obesity and Diabetes like no time in our history.

Why Fast Food?  1) Cheap, 2) Close-by,      3) Kids love it

Why San Diego Neighborhood Markets?    1) Fresh Produce, 2) In Neighborhood,       3) Fresh Meats (Butcher in-house)               4) LOW COST                  SAN DIEGO GOLD BUYER  5) HEALTHY

You should know, Walmart and other Big-Box grocers used to be the cheapest way to shop.  They got all the business.  Over the years, "price creep" has occurred, allowing a re-emergence of the Neighborhood Market.  This is important, as the neighborhood market was the center of the community 50 years ago.  SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MARKETS!  They are the convenient to your neighborhood, and the HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE TO FAST FOOD.

BEST NEIGHBORHOOD MARKETS for 2010?

OVERALL

1) Seisel's Old Fashioned Meats
     (619) 275-1234
      4131 Ashton St
      San Diego, California 92110

A venerable neighborhood favorite and all-around great grocery store, too.  Our favorite for meats in San Diego.  Ratings include Best Meat Market in San Diego.

2) Julia's Market       1731-A  Euclid Avenue      San Diego, CA 92105      (619) 358-9428

Julia's Market took over the old Wrigley's and completely gutted it, building a fresh, clean new grocery.  Vegetables are brought in daily, and "prices are lowest in San Diego!"   They are lower than Walmart in many items checked.  Lucky for Oak Park/Emerald Hills residents, as it is gaining popularity fast.

Lots of Specials.  Julia's gives away gifts to customers often.  Turkeys were passed out at Thanksgiving, and we understand HAMS for Christmas holidays.  Customers love Julia's.  Ratings include 'Cleanest, Best Prices, Friendliest.
